Happy Mother’s day to all the wonderful mothers in the world. We were the generation who immigrated from India to the US for the American Dream. Though we are living thousands of miles away from our home, we still find ways to teach our kids the rich values, culture and tradition which we inherited from our ancestors for centuries.
We are all going through difficult times. Schools are closed. Lives are lost. Millions of People are unemployed. Despite the trying times that we live in now, none of our students used this as an excuse to skip the Music and Dance exams conducted by Silicon Andhra Music Performing Arts and Dance Academy (SAMPADA).
There were 400+ students who appeared for Junior and Senior Certificate exams on May 10, 2020 and 1000+ students who appeared for Level 1 and Level 3 exams on May 02, 2020. I want to take this opportunity to recognize a few teams and people for their support and help.
Thanks to the Officials of Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University for their support while we moved our SAMPADA exams virtually. This may be the first time in the history of the University to use cutting edge technology in a disciplined and transparent manner for educating young minds on the Indian cultural arts. I want to thank Vice Chancellor Smt. Neetu Prasad garu, Registrar Sri. Bhattu Ramesh garu, Controller of Examinations Smt. Reddy Shyamala garu, Director of ITC Sri Vadlakonda Sathireddy garu, Smt. Radha Sarangapani garu, Head of Music Dept, Smt. Ratnasree garu, Head of Dance Dept, Dr. Vijayapal garu, Dr. Sudhakar garu, Dr. Venkanna garu. Dr. Hanumantha Rao Kotla garu for all going beyond their call of duty to make this a reality. Dear Sirs/Madams, we appreciate you all for observing the exam process at ungodly hours. On behalf of Silicon Andhra and Gurus, Parents and students of SAMPADA; Thank You, Thank You, Thank You from the bottom of our hearts.
A Big ‘Thank You’ to all the SAMPADA affiliated Gurus for their extraordinary efforts in training their students for the exams even though the COVID situation made it difficult for them to meet in person. I am very fortunate to be associated with such great talents like yourselves. Honestly, this wouldn’t have been possible without the support from each and every one of you.
Parents – I bow my head to all of you for taking SAMPADA exams very seriously and helping your kids to become proficient musicians and dancers by encouraging them to follow the structured curriculum.
Next, our volunteers who worked tirelessly day and night to provide the best possible experience to SAMPADA students and their parents. If there is any credit that can be given to the SAMPADA volunteers, there are three people in my team who deserve 100% of it. 1. Mr. Phanimadhav Kasturi, who is my backbone in all my endeavors; with his impeccable work ethic and drive for each initiative driving us to success. Although an artist by profession, he is a multi-talented asset to the organization. This man surpassed my expectations in making the exam process so smooth-sailing and successful. Words cannot describe the effort and impact you had on this initiative Phani Madhav Garu. Thank you!
Next Mrs. Santhi Konda and Mrs. Usha Madabushi for their unwavering support throughout this entire year. It is apparent that women have a double standard to play in our society in taking care of their homes and work. This did not compromise their diligence and determination to the cause, despite the demanding job description and situations they faced. My sincere thanks to both Usha garu and Santhi Konda garu for their great efforts and coordination in making sure each and every guru and parent’s questions were answered in a timely manner. Thank you Usha garu and Santhi garu. You both are the two pillars that hold the SAMPADA program together. I cannot thank you both enough.
Lastly, I sincerely thank all the people below who had proctored, examined and guest lectured for the past few weekends. Your efforts are not unrecognized.
