Telugu Association of London (TAL) has conducted the 13th Annual Volleyball Tournament and Women’s Throw ball in UEL Sports Dock, University Of East London on 16th March 2025, as part of Winter sports.
TAL has started another sporting year 2025 with Volleyball Tournament and many more sporting events such as badminton and the prestigious TAL Premier League to follow, for Telugu people in and around London.
TAL Chairman Ravi Sabba congratulated the winning teams for their sportsmanship and skill. Thanks were extended to TAL trustee Anil Anantula, Sports In-charge Satya Peddireddi, Women’s Sports In-charge Sindhura Cheruku, TAL advisors Sridhar Vanam and TAL core members Balaji Callur and Giridhar Putlur for their support and successful tournament execution.
The Palnadu Tigers, under the captaincy of Rakesh Kamepalli battled their way to victory, demonstrating resilience throughout the tournament. The Telugu Volley Bros under the captaincy of JesusBabu Devarapalli provided a formidable challenge, securing the runner-up position and ensuring a highly competitive and exciting event.
In celebration of Women’s Day and to encourage women’s participation in sports, TAL conducted the Women’s Throwball 2025 tournament. Urban Spice under the captaincy of Bhavya Velpuri claimed victory, with Galaxy Girls under the captaincy of Sirisha Bezawada taking the runner-up spot in a thrilling competition.
Satya Peddireddi, TAL Sports In-charge, praised the players for their exemplary sportsmanship and commitment. He called upon them to maintain their support for both sports and the community and requested that everyone encourage children and young adults to engage in physical activity. Sindhura Cheruku, Women’s Sports In-charge, extended invitation to everyone to join the upcoming TAL Badminton tournaments taking place on the 13th of April and acknowledged the vital role of the volunteers in the event’s successful execution.
