“Natyakeertanam” Classical Dance Performance By SAMPADA

Natyakeertanam is a unique initiative of SAMPADA (Silicon Andhra Music Performing Arts and Dance Academy) through which great works of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya, Sri Bhakta Ramadasu, and other saints are being propagated through Indian Classical Dances. As part of the Natyakeertanam project, SAMPADA with the help of academicians at the University of Silicon Andhra selected 10 lesser-known compositions of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharyulu and produced tracks suitable for Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dance styles. Dr. Anupama Kylash spearheaded the effort to produce the audio tracks on Annamayya compositions suitable for dance. Along with tracks, choreographic guidance also has been provided for the dancers to visualize the lyrics and choreograph the items in their own style instead of the cookie-cutter approach.

” I am very delighted to share that 10 young dance practitioners from Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi styles across the world have volunteered to accept the challenge and now they are excited to perform the items they choreographed. SAMPADA Sabha is proud to host the event on January 24th using social media platforms facebook (facebook.com/SiliconAndhraSAMPADA and youtube (Youtube.com/SampadaTV). A day before the actual performance , these artists will be sharing their experiences through the panel discussion hosted by me and moderated by Dr. Anupama Kylash.
Please spread the word and watch live through Social Media channels both on Saturday (Jan 23, 2020, 8:00 AM PT) and Sunday (Jan 24, 2020, 8:00 AM PT). Your presence and encouragement to these young choreographers and dance practitioners mean a lot to them and SAMPADA as well.” said Deenababu Kondubhatla.
