TPAD 15th Blood Drive Saves Lives
Telangana People’s Association of Dallas (TPAD) kicked off its annual activities with its 15th blood drive, continuing its tradition of conducting two drives per year. Over the years, TPAD has helped save nearly 2,000 lives through these initiatives. In recognition of its contributions, Carter Blood Care honored TPAD as the 2023 “Community Champion” in the DFW Metro area.
This blood drive, hosted at IT Spin, saw 85 donors exceed the expected capacity, resulting in 60 pints of blood collected—enough to support critical medical procedures. TPAD provided breakfast and lunch for donors and volunteers, with student volunteers assisting in registration. The event reinforced TPAD’s commitment to serving local communities.
The blood drive was coordinated by Ravi Chennuri, Swapna Gollapalli and guided by Anuradha Mekala (President), Pandu Ranga Reddy Palwai(BOT Chair), Rao Kalvala(FC Chair) and Ramana Lashkar(Coordinator) and supported by entire TPAD team. Student volunteers from local schools have helped the blood draw event in registration and guiding donors with questionnaire.
