Under the leadership of Adapa Prasad, National President of Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP–USA), a highly successful “Meet and Greet” event featuring Shri Muralidhar Rao as the chief guest was held in Edison, New Jersey.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Muralidhar Rao highlighted the developmental work achieved by the Modi government over the past 11 years. He elaborated on the progress made by the Bharatiya Janata Party during this period and emphasized how it evolved into the largest political party in the world. He stressed that Indian elections are now centered around development rather than divisions of caste, region, language, or religion, and he praised the overwhelming support given by the people to the Modi government. Rao also touched on India's current political landscape, global diplomatic standing, and development trajectory.

He expressed happiness at how Indian Americans, regardless of regional or linguistic background, represent India as one united identity in the U.S. He appreciated their love for the motherland and their commitment to seeing India prosper. He reminded everyone that patriotism is deeply rooted in our Dharma and inherited from our ancestors — it is everyone's responsibility to preserve it. Referring to recent incidents in Pahalgam, he mentioned that the Indian government responded firmly and effectively.

Rao emphasized that the BJP is working to correct the mistakes and neglect of the past 70 years, and at the same time, striving to advance India’s development and reinforce Indian values on the global stage. He stated that Prime Minister Modi’s leadership is the only clear path forward and that there is currently no viable alternative with similar conviction or commitment to national values. He commended the efforts of Indian Americans in supporting the Modi government.

He also recalled how Prime Minister Modi, upon assuming office, addressed several key national issues directly from the Red Fort in Delhi — setting the tone for transparent governance.

On this occasion, National Past President of Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP–USA) Mr. Anugula Krishna Reddy praised Muralidhar Rao as a senior leader who, despite surviving Naxalite gunfire in the past, never abandoned his nationalist ideology.

Mr. Vilas Jambula, President of Telangana OFBJP–USA and Global NRI Co-Convener for Telangana, stated that OFBJP–USA volunteers are also actively working toward establishing a BJP government in Telangana.

Among the attendees were Amar Goswami, Gunjan Mishra, Srikant Reddy, and community leaders Sharath Reddy Vemula, Hari Eppanapalli, Gopi, Balaguru, Santosh Koram, and Dev Kakarla, Representing the Telugu Desam Party–Janasena alliance, Lakshmi Devineni and Prem Katragadda also participated.
