Saanvi Gullapalli Donates 5000 USD To North Texas FoodBank

A 14-year-old North Texas student, Sanvi Galapali, is earning recognition for combining financial education with community service through an initiative she founded at a young age. Inspired by reading The Wall Street Journal and developing an early interest in business and markets, Sanvi launched the “Sanvi Finance Academy,” a structured 10-week program aimed at improving financial literacy among students.

The academy is designed for children in grades 5 through 10 and focuses on foundational concepts such as money management, understanding markets, and building long-term financial thinking habits. Through this program, Sanvi has sought to equip younger students with practical knowledge often not emphasized in traditional school curricula.

Her efforts extend beyond education into philanthropy. Sanvi has actively supported organizations such as the North Texas Food Bank, where she also volunteers, and the The Salvation Army. Most recently, her academy raised $5,000, all of which she donated to the North Texas Food Bank, helping provide an estimated 15,000 meals to those in need.

Sanvi’s contributions have been formally recognized by the City of Southlake, which declared January 6 as “Sanvi Galapali Day” in her honor. In addition, she has received an invitation to visit the New York Stock Exchange, reflecting growing recognition of her work in promoting financial awareness among youth.

Her story highlights how individual initiative, even at a young age, can bridge education and social impact, particularly in areas like financial literacy that have long-term benefits for both individuals and communities.
