Baltimore is preparing for an extraordinary celebration as the American Telugu Association (ATA) enters the final countdown to its 19th ATA Convention and Youth Conference, scheduled for July 31 through August 2, 2026, at the Baltimore Convention Center. With thousands of attendees expected from across the United States, Canada, India, and several other countries, the convention promises to be one of the largest and most comprehensive Telugu gatherings ever organized outside India.
For months, hundreds of dedicated volunteers have been working around the clock to bring the event to life, coordinating logistics, hospitality, transportation, registration, technology, security, stage production, cultural events, exhibitions, guest relations, youth activities, business forums, and medical conferences. As the countdown enters its final days, Baltimore is ready to welcome the global Telugu community for three days of celebration, learning, networking, and inspiration.
This year's convention holds special significance as ATA celebrates 35 years of service to the Telugu community. Since its founding in 1991, the organization has grown into one of North America's most respected Telugu institutions, promoting Telugu language and culture while supporting education, healthcare, youth leadership, entrepreneurship, humanitarian initiatives, disaster relief, scholarships, professional networking, and community service. The Baltimore convention represents not only a celebration of ATA's remarkable journey but also a vision for the future of the global Telugu community.
Unlike a traditional cultural event, the ATA Convention has evolved into a destination where every generation finds a place to belong. Whether attendees are business executives, entrepreneurs, physicians, engineers, students, artists, homemakers, retirees, or young professionals, the convention offers opportunities to learn, connect, celebrate, and grow. From early morning until late in the evening, multiple halls throughout the Baltimore Convention Center will come alive with programs designed to educate, inspire, entertain, and bring people together.
One of the convention's biggest attractions will be its expansive Business and Entrepreneurship Forum, where established business leaders, investors, startup founders, and aspiring entrepreneurs will come together to explore new opportunities. Programs such as B2B Matchmaking, executive networking sessions, the Mergers and Acquisitions Forum will provide participants with opportunities to build partnerships, exchange ideas, connect with investors, and showcase innovation.
Healthcare continues to be one of ATA's signature initiatives. The prestigious Continuing Medical Education (CME) Conference will bring together distinguished physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advances in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Diabetes, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Vascular Medicine, Allergy and Immunology, Healthy Aging, and other emerging areas of healthcare.
The convention will also feature engaging Political Forums, the elegant Weaves of Silk Fashion Show, the energetic Niraval Live Concert, the colorful ATA Beauty Pageant, the Youth Fashion Show, the spectacular Hanumath Charitham Kuchipudi dance production, Astavadhanam, literary conferences, Sri Shiva Parvathula Kalyanam, the Youth Cruise, the ATA Matrimony Meet, and one of the convention's largest ever Vendor Exhibitions. With hundreds of programs taking place simultaneously across multiple venues, there is something meaningful for every member of the family.
ATA President Jayanth Challa said, “The ATA Convention is much more than a three day event. It is a celebration of our language, culture, heritage, achievements, and the remarkable journey of Telugu people around the world. Every volunteer and every committee has worked with passion and dedication to create an experience that will make our entire community proud. As ATA celebrates 35 years of service, we warmly invite everyone to join us in Baltimore for this historic milestone.”
ATA Convener Sridhar Banala said, “Preparations have reached an exciting stage. Our teams have spent months planning every detail so that every attendee enjoys outstanding programs, exceptional hospitality, seamless logistics, and unforgettable memories. We look forward to welcoming thousands of families to Baltimore.”
For many families, the ATA Convention is much more than a conference. It is where lifelong friendships are renewed, children discover their cultural heritage, young professionals find mentors, entrepreneurs build partnerships, physicians exchange knowledge, artists inspire audiences, and generations come together under one roof to celebrate their shared identity.
For three unforgettable days, the Baltimore Convention Center will become the home of the global Telugu community, where culture meets innovation, tradition meets opportunity, friendships become family, and memories are created that will last a lifetime. ATA warmly invites Telugu families everywhere to be part of this historic celebration. Registration details and the full program schedule are available at www.ataworld.org.
