ATA DC Women’s Day Celebration 2026 Concludes with Grand Success

The American Telugu Association (ATA) DC Chapter successfully hosted its annual Women’s Day Celebration, continuing a proud tradition of over 15 years of recognizing and empowering women in the community. This year’s event witnessed record-breaking participation, with over 600 women in attendance, making it one of the most successful celebrations to date.

The event served as a vibrant platform to celebrate women’s achievements, unity, and empowerment. The program featured a rich lineup including cultural performances, melodious singing, energetic dance presentations, panel discussions by accomplished women, and service-oriented women felicitations. Attendees also experienced inspiring stories, community showcase stalls, and enjoyed complimentary refreshments sponsored by local restaurant partners and event sponsors.

Distinguished dignitaries and community leaders graced the occasion, including Congressman Suhas Subramanyam and Senators Srinivas Kannan & Jennifer Boysko, along with other elected officials, county representatives, school board members, and ATA leadership. Their addresses emphasized the importance of community engagement, women’s leadership, and collective progress.

ATA President Jayanth Challa, in his keynote remarks, commended the contributions of women across all sectors and reaffirmed ATA’s commitment to supporting community-driven initiatives. He also appreciated the efforts of Samitha Neravetla, ATA Women’s Committee Chair and Event Lead, for her leadership in organizing the event.

In her remarks, Samitha Neravetla expressed sincere gratitude to the core team, volunteers, sponsors, performers, stall partners, local RC’s and participants for their dedication and support in making the event a grand success.

The overwhelming response from the community highlighted the growing impact and significance of ATA DC’s Women’s Day initiatives. The celebration stood as a testament to the strength and unity of women coming together to inspire change and build a stronger community.

ATA DC looks forward to continued engagement through upcoming initiatives, including an expanded Women’s Committee presence at the ATA 19th Conference scheduled in Baltimore, Maryland in July 2026.
